To provide customer a high quality service in Public Telephony, Nepal Telecommunication is operating advanced card phone services consisting of modern public terminals for both indoor and outdoor use, supervised by a centralized network management system.
NEPAL TELECOM had started Pay Phone service in 2058 Bhadra and nowadays it is giving services in 283 places. The regional distribution of Card phone is as follows.

- Pick up hand set.
- In digital display you get "insert card ", then insert your card in right side or lower part of the card phone set.
- In display. you get remaining unit of your card
- Now dial telephone number.
- After connection, you can see time and decreasing unit in display.
- After Conversation, put the hand set then pull out card.
- Three digit calls are free.
- Change (available in 3 languages: English, German, Greek)
